Minting a Capsule NFT

Learn how to mint the various types of Capsule NFTs.
For more information on Capsule NFTs, please read Capsule NFTs.

Step 1: Go to the App​

Open the CapsuleNFT app - accessible through CapsuleNFT.com/app or our website, CapsuleNFT.com.

Step 2: Connect Metamask

Use
to connect your Metamask account.
For more information on Metamask or to create an account, please visit their website.

Step 3: "Mint Capsule NFT"

Click
to go to the "Mint Capsule NFT" section.

Step 4: Select a Collection

Under
, use the drop-down menu to select the collection to which the Capsule NFT will be minted.
Capsule Collections are allowed to have the same names and acronyms. The unique identifier of each Capsule Collection is the Collection Address.
Please check the Collection Address to ensure that you are minting to the correct Capsule Collection.

Step 5: Select Type

Select the type of Capsule NFT you would like to mint - Simple Capsule NFT, ERC-20 Capsule NFT, or ERC-721 Capsule NFT. Instructions for each type are provided below.
Simple
ERC-20
ERC-721
ERC-1155
Simple Capsule NFTs do not store tokens.
  1. 1.
    Name the Capsule NFT.
  2. 2.
    Provide a short description of the Capsule NFT.
  3. 3.
    Upload the file you would like to attach the Capsule NFT.

ERC-20 Capsule NFTs store any amount of ERC-20 tokens.
  1. 1.
    Select the token you would like to store - by using the drop-down menu or entering the token address.
  2. 2.
    Enter the amount you would like to store.
  3. 3.
    To add tokens, click "Add Another Token +" and repeat Steps 1 and 2 for each token. To remove tokens, click the (-) button on the right of the token.
  4. 4.
    Name the Capsule NFT.
  5. 5.
    Provide a short description of the Capsule NFT.
  6. 6.
    Upload the file you would like to attach to the Capsule NFT.
For security purposes, you will have to approve each type of ERC-20 token that you wish to store before minting your Capsule NFT.
On the app, click "Approve Tokens" to approve the tokens used in this transaction or click "Approve Infinite" to skip this step in future minting.
On the Metamask extension, click "OK" to approve the use of tokens.
NOTE: This action interacts with the Ethereum blockchain and will cost ether to perform. You will need to wait for your transaction to be processed before continuing to the next step. The status of your transaction can be viewed under "Recent Transactions" on the bottom of the page.

ERC-721 Capsule NFTs store any amount of ERC-721 tokens.
  1. 1.
    Enter the collection address of the NFT you wish to store in the Capsule NFT.
  2. 2.
    Enter the NFT ID - the assigned number of the NFT within the collection.
  3. 3.
    To add tokens, click "Add Another Token +" and repeat Steps 1 and 2 for each token. To remove tokens, click the (-) button on the right of the token.
  4. 4.
    Name the Capsule NFT.
  5. 5.
    Provide a short description of the Capsule NFT.
  6. 6.
    Upload the file you would like to attach to the Capsule NFT.

ERC-1155 Capsule NFTs store any amount of ERC-1155 tokens.
  1. 1.
    Select the token you would like to store - by using the drop-down menu or entering the token address.

    Enter the amount you would like to store.
  3. 3.
    To add tokens, click "Add Another Token +" and repeat Steps 1 and 2 for each token. To remove tokens, click the (-) button on the right of the token.

    Name the Capsule NFT.
  5. 5.
    Provide a short description of the Capsule NFT.
  6. 6.
    Upload the file you would like to attach to the Capsule NFT.

Step 6: Mint Capsule NFT

When you are finished, click "Mint Your Capsule NFT".
A preview of your Capsule NFT will appear. After confirming that all information is correct, proceed by clicking "Mint Capsule NFT".
Confirm the transaction on the Metamask extension.
NOTE: This action interacts with the Ethereum blockchain and will cost ether to perform.
You will need to wait for your transaction to be processed before continuing to the next step. The status of your transaction can be viewed under "Recent Transactions" on the bottom of the page.

All done!

After the transaction is processed, your Capsule NFT will be minted, assigned an identification (ID) number, and sent to your address. The Capsule NFT can be viewed on the "My Capsule NFTs" page.
